THE DEAD MALL

The Dead Mall feigns southern college-rock while staying dangerously close to their 3-piece punk roots. Their debut was released via Like You Mean It Records in Nashville, Tennessee and they have a sophomore record due August 22, 2025 via Cornelius Chapel Records. Recently, notable shared bills have been with Tommy Stinson of the Replacements, Brennan Wedl, and Taylor Hollingsworth. Their sophomore effort “The Restaurant” was mixed by Collin Pastore (Lucy Dacus, Illuminati Hotties) and mastered by Preston Cochran (bassist of The Dead Mall, credits include Lucy Dacus and Darrin Bradbury). Ryan Sobb and Alex Rodriguez make the remainder of the band on guitar and drums, respectively. Sobb’s first guitar was a Costco 3/4 sized tuned by his uncle, Chris Ewen, long-time member of The Magnetic fields. After studying music in Birmingham he moved to Nashville and worked at a frame shop that would become the backdrop for this latest effort. This record is a reflection of the eclectic influences.
